We're kicking off our newest series -- Real Honeymoon features -- with our founder's Italian honeymoon. She shares her itinerary, photos and tips she learned along the way.
It's rare when we see Halloween and weddings collide -- it takes a certain type of couple or creative to bring a holiday that's associated with spine-chilling and turn it into a celebration that's stunning. But our round-up of inspiration shoots, engagement sessions and, yes, Halloween weddings, proves that it can be done.
From the gorgeous religious ceremony at St. John's Episcopal Church to their chic, luxury reception at the iconic Hay-Adams Hotel,...

Horse-riding across a meadow, stealing snuggles in an abandoned barn and sexy makeout sessions against fence posts ... this New Mexico engagement session from Lyndsey Garber Photography feels like it's straight out of a country music video and we are positively obsessed.
We hosted the very first Halls of Ivy Workshop last Wednesday with Kate of H&H Weddings, Jason of Getting Groomed and Jove Meyer Events at the industrial chic event space Atelier Roquette in Brooklyn.
When I think of California weddings, this is what pops into my head. Spanish Revival architecture, lush florals and the perfect balance of boho and romantic. This shoot has all of that and more, captured by Kimberlee Miller Photography at Quail Ranch, a family owned and operated avocado farm located outside of Los Angeles and designed by Unique Floral Designs and Party Pleasers.
With just five days left before our very first Halls of Ivy workshop, we're already feeling the buzz of excitement. You're...

Hinting of the glamour days of Vegas, this inspiration shoot coordinated by Orchestrated Stylized Shoots and Green Orchid Events is filled with gilded accents, rich colors and chic fashion, all beautifully capture by Bit of Ivory Photography.
I'm so inspired by Dana and Brock's engagement session setup -- the naturally romantic forest setting makes it feel like they just happened upon a picnic scene and stayed awhile, and allowed Nick Goodin Photography to capture their soonlywed smiles as they opened a bottle of wine.
After swooning over the gorgeous wood rings in the Chicago World's Fair styled shoot, I went on a hunt to...
The inspiration for this Chicago World's Fair-inspired shoot was born when Tara Wickey of Root & Life Photography stumbled across an 1893 Chicago World's Fair ticket (then called the World's Columbian Exposition) while antiquing. Working with a dapper and elegant inspiration board, Tara and Jen Ganson from Dare to Dream Weddings dreamed up a scene that was driven by history, architecture and culture, including a beautiful replica of the iconic ferris wheel and Cracker Jack favors (rumored to have been presented at the 1893 Fair).
We're currently swooning over this at-home engagement session by Morgan Miller Photography not only for the hip interior design but the closeness of these two is so transparent.

With the nationwide marriage equality ruling taking place just one week before, there was an even heightened sense of celebration for Jodi and Kenzi's sweet celebration in Birmingham, Ala.
Some wedding photos, you just look at and think "Damn, that looks like it was a fun party." Such is the case with Gina and Ben's destination wedding in Playa del Carmen, Mexico at the breathtaking Sandos Caracol Eco Resort. From a mariachi band, sombreros and a piñata (whose decapitated head made it onto the dance floor!), this celebration was one for the books.
A house filled with laughter, good food and great friends in beautiful Big Sur, Calif., set the scene for Ryen and Nate's elopement.
I love a good engagement shoot that makes me swoon out loud. Hannah Kate Photography had the opportunity to give Shayna and Derek's wedding venue, the gorgeous Spanish Oaks Ranch in California, a test run with this beautiful shoot. (P.S. all couples who book it as their wedding venue get a free engagement session held there!)

As if getting married wasn't exciting enough, the day before Stephen and James said "I do," the Supreme Court ruled in favor of marriage equality. Emotions ran high during this celebration as the grooms, who had been together for a decade, exchanged vows in a gorgeous firehouse-turned-venue that was flawlessly captured by Candice Cusic Photography.
