Pacific Northwest Proposal With a View

Stephanie planned the perfect proposal for her girlfriend Madison during a hike along Cape Flattery in Washington's Pacific Northwest coast.

Conversations flowing as smooth as flowing waters led Stephanie and Madison realizing their intense feelings for one another. Their online relationship blossomed slow and steadily, eventually resulting in the most scenic proposal at Cape Flattery in Washington state.

“I knew she was The One when she realized how complicated my relationship with my homophobic family was and supported me unconditionally through it. Although it was — and still is — a painful process for the both of us, she has been right by my side through it all,” shares Stephanie. Madison adding, “I can’t imagine my life without Steph, especially now after everything we’ve gotten through together. The love just grows deeper and richer as we courageously keep learning about ourselves and each other.”

Knowing that they were meant to be, Stephanie planned all the details to surprise Madison on their seven-year anniversary.

“Madison and I are super outdoorsy people and we love the Pacific Northwest. Last time we were there, we realized that it was a very special place for us and since then, I knew I wanted to propose there. I had also realized that we first started chatting through the dating app on October 20, 2015 so then, I REALLY wanted to propose somewhere in the Northwest side of Washington state exactly on October 20, 2022.”

With the area, ring, and photographer all chosen there was one more big thing Stephanie needed to do.

“Now that I had everything set up, I needed an excuse as to why we would randomly travel to Washington state in late October. Thankfully, my birthday is in October, so I blamed it on my birthday. I told Madison that that’s what I wanted and I gave her a strict window of when I wanted to be there — hint: Oct 20th was in that window. She did not suspect one bit so it was perfect!!”

After spending a relaxing day together, they headed to Cape Flattery for a hike. Little did Madison know what was coming next.

“We’d already discussed going to Cape Flattery for the sunset. So I thought we were just on a normal hike at Cape Flattery. I was taking in the gorgeous astonishing views of the rugged cliffs, pine trees, and turbulent ocean below. It was easily the most gorgeous place I’ve ever been. I kept telling Steph ‘This is my favorite place ever!'” recalls Madison. “I was just awestruck by the view and I literally said out loud ‘Steph, this place makes me wish I had a ring' meaning I wished I was prepared to propose there!”

With the breathtaking sight of water, lush greenery, and the cliffs below, Stephanie got down on one knee and proposed with an Alexandrite gem from Staghead with the Staghead Roslyn design; the photographer captured the romantic moment and all its beauty.

Post-proposal, they continued taking photos together throughout the trail and amongst nature.

The excitement and joy on their faces along with the beautiful setting show such an authentic love and the journey they shared.

This one is really something special!
