Going on eight years now, my partner and I have created over-the-top holiday cards that have now become something all of our friends excitedly look forward to receiving in their mailbox each year. We've recreated classics like A Christmas Story, as well our favorite SNL skit with a holiday twist and even put our baby in a Jesus wig and sprayed Champagne in a birthday party club scene (we may or may not be going to hell for that one). Admittedly, it's a challenge to come up with something unique and, what we hope to be, hilarious each year, but somehow we manage to pull it off.
This year, our daughter was in a mood and, in true toddler form, decided not to cooperate by doing the special pose we had been working on for weeks. Instead it was tears and tantrums … thank goodness our amazing photographer, Jainé Kershner from Brklyn View Photography, is a fellow mom and knew exactly how to handle. A quick change of pose plans and we got a good-enough shot to tell the story. That being said, introducing our 2018 Family Holiday Card, inspired by the classic poem, Jingle Bells, Batman smells:
