Lavender Farm Family Session

Today's family session is particularly special for me — it's mine! I was hosting one of my dearest friends and her husband for the weekend out on the North Fork of Long Island, and we took a trip to Lavender By the Bay, a dream-like lavender farm located in East Marion.

Lucky for me, my friend just happens to be renowned wedding photographer Mikkel Woodruff of Mikkel Paige Photography, so unbeknownst to me, a simple friendly jaunt through the fields ended up being publish-worthy family photos that I just had to share.

I love publishing family sessions, but when it comes to my own, I don't get them done for my own family nearly enough, and these photos remind me of the importance of doing so. Without sounding like a cliche, life really does move so fast, and having these photos of me with my almost year-old twins Cameron and Adrian, and our four-year-old Elliott (whose curious and energetic nature was beautifully captured by Mikkel), will be cherished forever.
