Today’s at-home wedding is infused with elegant details, tons of meaningful touches, and an effortlessly romantic style. While not their original plan, Sarah and Katie revamped their wedding day plans in 48-hours, moving from their originally chosen venue to a private residence in Jupiter, Florida.
“We had 90 percent of the wedding planned nine months ahead of schedule at a different venue before they sadly cancelled citing COVID-19 concerns,” says Sarah. With her incomparable knack for case management — and with a lot of generous help from family and friends — Sarah had essentially re-planned the wedding within 48 hours. “And while the new venue change to a very generous family friend’s home in Jupiter, Florida did require more logistical planning, it also allowed for much more personalization and I think we both agree, the result was far better than we could have imagined, and even better suited to our personal taste than plan A.”
Custom painted save-the-date art, hand-decorated button-down getting-ready shirts, and lace from Sarah’s mother’s wedding gown woven through Sarah’s updo were just some of the personalized touches that they infused into their day. “Sarah also wore a small Lebanese tile in her hair — her ‘something blue' — which was gifted from the family friends who were the homeowners of the venue, to acknowledge the many home projects completed in preparation for the wedding, one of which was a beautiful blue-tiled fountain.”
A pretty color palette including navy blue, pinks, peaches, and pops of fuschia and gold along with lush flowers. “We skipped the wedding favors: amazing memories are the best takeaways.” stated the duo as they recalled some of their mutual favorite moments of the day which included “The pure joy and giggles of playing with our flower girl throughout the event, dancing the night away, being together and celebrating with so many special and important people in our lives.”
