Filled with flavor and style, this post is dedicated to good taste! When done well, wedding cakes fit seamlessly into the aesthetic of any wedding day. Not only is this scrumptious wedding dessert a sweet treat for guests, but it’s also often displayed as a piece of art for all to see. Varying in size, color, pattern, texture, and more, this year’s cake designs included fresh florals, custom accents, and contemporary takes on timeless looks –- all of which effortlessly told the story behind these weddings and styled shoots.
Go ahead and file this one under “not your average wedding cake!” In fact, this modern cake design is unlike any we’ve ever seen and it made its debut at this real wedding giveaway, won by Mariela and Gilberto. With its quirky tiers, lively color, and unique texture you can certainly count on this being a one-of-a-kind design. Cake Design by Flor de Harina | Photography by Phosphilic
As if Peter and Braulio’s New York City wedding wasn’t enough to make us ooh-and-ahh, their 1920s-inspired affair included a monogrammed Art Deco cake design that was utterly jaw-dropping. The same monogram was also seen throughout the day on their decor including their stationery and favors. This one truly offers a pretty slice of inspiration!
