As we count down to WorldPride here in NYC this coming Sunday, this styled Pride party couldn’t have hit my inbox at a better time! A team of Annapolis creatives produced the inspo filled with fun rainbow decor and ideas (hello rainbow balloon installation!) that are perfect for any Pride celebration … or wedding for that matter!
Showcasing a diverse group of models, the video shares their responses to what Pride means to them:
“For me, Pride is the celebration of who you authentically are.”
“Pride to me just means not being afraid to be who you are, showing your truth and just being happy and comfortable with it.”
“I think so many people in the LBGT+ community are kinda either taught, told, or just assume that you should be shameful of who are. And to be able to say ‘I’m proud of who I am,’ to really acknowledge and celebrate that feeling is just so special. And it takes a lot of work to get there.”
“To me, pride is representation and validation. Seeing proud trans people was a huge source of me being able to figure out that’s how I identify, that that’s a thing that I can even be.”
“To me pride is just being authentically yourself in all of the small moments and small ways, in addition to being honest and open in big ways, too.”
“It’s also a celebration of the people who have given so much for this community, who have paved the way and we just get to show up and say thank you and we’re here to and we’re all in it together.”
“Pride is about celebrating not just who we are but how we got here.”
