Another day, another flashmob proposal (which I can never get enough of!). While it's hard to beat 99 dancers in pastel colors dancing around the Frying Pan, a resurrected ship that now serves as a super cool bar in New York City, it's Lance's very real-life reactions during Harry's proposal to him that I found the most enduring.
Confused and a little stubborn to go in the direction he was being coaxed, Lance was still bewildered by the time Henry approached him through a red balloon-filled aisle. “What the f–k is this?” are hysterically the first words out of his mouth as he continues to look around to try and process exactly what's going on. “I'm in some f—–g alternate reality.”
Finally, he answers with an obvious, “Well … yeah!”
While the proposal itself was very over-the-top, the reactions are about as real life as they come. You may be able to control the dancers, the lighting and any other bells and whistles you have up your sleeves, but be prepared for your significant other to unknowingly put a wrench in the plans due to their confusion. And can you blame them? Would you walk through a flashmob scene if you could avoid it? But that's what makes each proposal so special and unique because we're able to see the adorable dynamics of the couple, and ultimately, the trust that one has in the other when they allow themselves to be led into whatever crazy scene that is underway.
