The inaugural International LGBTQ+ Wedding Congress Conference is a ground-breaking event, kicking off today, that is bringing equality-minded® professionals in the wedding industry together to explore the unique challenges and opportunities facing the LGBTQ+ community when it comes to planning weddings. The conference, which Love Inc. is a proud media sponsor of, is hosted by LSC Events and will be attended by wedding planners, florists, caterers, photographers, and other industry professionals from around the world and will create cross-border education with the hope that professionals from multiple countries will become fluent in LGBTQ+ inclusivity.
The conference features a diverse lineup of speakers who are sharing their expertise on topics ranging from legal considerations for LGBTQ+ weddings to designing inclusive wedding venues and creating culturally sensitive wedding ceremonies.
One of the main themes of the conference is the need for greater representation and inclusivity in the wedding industry (something that has always been a core mission for us here at Love Inc.!). The conference will provide a space for attendees to network, learn from each other, and develop new strategies to better serve the LGBTQ+ community.
Educational events like this are such an important step towards greater representation and inclusivity in the industry, and I, for one, hope this is the first of many!
