This intimate Palm Springs wedding incorporated bright colors, eclectic decor, and a playful spirit to create a perfectly laid-back day.
When fate brought Mallory and Rob together seven years ago at a local bar, little did they know that their love story would take them on an incredible journey leading up to their breathtaking wedding day on October 22, 2022. Determined to incorporate their shared love for vibrant colors and the tropical desert vibes of Palm Springs, the Beverlys created a lively celebration filled with personalized DIY touches and cherished moments with their loved ones.
The couple's home served as the picturesque backdrop where Mallory and Rob said “I do.” Channeling the vibrant hues of Palm Springs, the wedding dripped with vivid, electrifying colors — hot pinks, yellows, oranges, and bright purples — reflecting the couple's zest for life.
For Mallory and Rob, every aspect of their wedding was a labor of love. With no professional help in planning or a day-of coordinator, they poured their hearts into every DIY detail. The couple dedicated many hours to the artistry of calligraphy, from beautifully addressing envelopes to creating exquisite place cards for the reception. Mallory, the epitome of organization, created binders to keep everything perfectly in place. It was a true testament to the couple's unwavering commitment to their wedding vision.
Mallory's search for the perfect wedding dress was a journey of determination, trying out four different gowns, each one falling short of her desires. However, when she discovered the Bette Gown by BHLDN, with its matchless beauty and style, she knew her search was over. On the other hand, Rob opted to don his trusted blue suit for their special day. The colorful and lavish flower arrangements, skillfully put together by Mallory's mom and cousin — both professionally trained florists — added an enchanting touch to the wedding.
A shimmering wall of mirrors graced the reception space while thoughtfully arranged palm details within lush bouquets elevated the ambiance. White wicker tables and pink-cushioned chairs set against the backdrop of funky lanterns hanging from the trees created a whimsical atmosphere that invited guests to revel in the celebration.
As the newlyweds danced into their future, their joy was amplified by the unison of their two families, fusing together in a harmony of love. This was the moment Mallory cherished most from her wedding day. With both love and budget in mind, Mallory advises couples to be conscientious in their expenditure, distinguishing between their needs and wants. “Be strategic how you spend your money, a wedding is only one day of your life and it can get out of hand quickly with costs. You should have the wedding of your dreams but be realistic about needs versus wants!”
