Nestled beneath the redwood trees of Sanborn County Park in Saratoga, California, Emily and Andy exchanged their vows with a celebration combined with a laid-back, “backyard” style.
They weaved their values of sustainability into their day; choosing Brilliant Earth as their jeweler and allowing their wedding party to select their attire to encourage reusability. Additionally, they embraced the venue’s natural setting and incorporated greenery, wooden textures, and personally collected all of their decor. “All of the decor we had collected on our own throughout the wedding process. This included a chalk welcome sign, the wood slabs and lavender and wheat bunches, pictures, table number centerpieces, yard games such as giant Jenga and corn hole, and polaroid guest book,” Emily stated.

To ensure guests would have a “Bay Area experience” they hired local mom and pop shops, including an ice cream sandwich truck and mobile bar trailer for an authentic feel. In fact, one of their favorites moments of the day involved the bright pink ice cream truck, as the two rode into the reception in the “sweet” vehicle; where guests toasted to their love with champagne glasses that doubled as favors.
In addition to their grand entrance, “seeing everything come together and everyone having fun with the games we set up” was a favorite detail of the day, along with a custom cake topper including their family pet and signature drinks served from a converted trailer.
