Kasuni and Mike's Sri Lankan fusion wedding featured a traditional Buddhist ceremony followed by a western ceremony.
Two wedding ceremonies made for one wonderful day for Kasuni and Mike. Their multicultural wedding at Spanish Hills Club in California not only signified the start of their next chapter, but the blending of their families, too!
“From majestic garments of clothing, to the Sri Lanken drum line, to the romantic photos captured by Ukrainian photographer, Anokiart Photography, this wedding was a fusion of bliss and romance!” shares their planner, Jamison Events.
First, a Poruwa ceremony was performed. This ceremony includes a series of rituals performed by the bride, groom, and their families. From the details to the attire, everything was kept traditional and the color was lively.
Once that ceremony was complete, the outdoor setting was flipped to a more modern aesthetic. Kasuni changed into a beautiful strapless lace gown with Mike swapping out his stunning gold-and-maroon colored attire for a navy suit. The tones became a bit more subtle with the bridal party now donning sage green dresses and the flowers dressing the arbor in shades of ivory and blush.
Indoors, their reception decor carried the same soft color combination keeping the overall vibe soft and timeless.
Guests cheered and applauded as the newlyweds entered the space where toasts, dances, cake and plenty of laughter were shared. The perfect celebration to a lifetime of happiness.
