There is almost nothing prettier than a fall wedding in New England, and Michelle and Chris have the pictures to prove it thanks to Michelle Girard who beautifully captured the non-traditional wedding, from the ceremony to the reception filled with personal details.
Chris and Rachel are the epitome of modern day star-crossed lovers. They met online and though hundreds of miles separated them, they knew they had a connection like no other. Even their first conversation was about the stars. Their wedding, held on the grounds of Craven Farm overlooking the Washington state landscape, illustrated this recurring theme throughout their relationship with telescopes, a constellation guest book and a DIY moon photo booth.
Self-proclaimed foodies Greg and Michael knew that the reception cuisine would play a significant role in their wedding day. With a priority of finding a venue that they could bring their own caterer, they came across 632 on Hudson, an antique-laden townhouse-turned-party space. The hidden gem spurred their carnival theme vision, executed amazingly by Bernadette Smith of 14 Stories with fortune tellers giving guests a peek into the future and burlesque entertainers serving absinthe cotton candy.
Set in the dramatic Angel Orensanz Foundation with a modern lighting design that highlighted the venue’s breathtaking architecture, Jason and Michael’s traditional Jewish ceremony and party-filled reception was the perfect juxtaposition of traditional and contemporary.
