Botanical-Inspired Destination Wedding in Mexico

If ever there was a wedding that defined the term “wedding bliss” it would for sure be Lauren and Landon’s destination wedding in Riviera Maya Mexico.

Following a proposal in Europe beneath the Eiffel Tower, the wedding planning began. It was a visit during their travels to Grand Hyatt Playa Del Carmen Resort that sparked the vision for their celebration.

“We had traveled to the Grand Hyatt in 2017 and I fell in love and knew that’s where I wanted to get married,” shares Lauren. “The space is so beautiful, so we went with neutral tones and greenery with white floral to let the space and ocean views shine.”

Their goal of enhancing the space with detail was a true delight. With the water as the backdrop, Lauren walked down the aisle with candle glass vases and the water flowing beneath her making her way to Landon who stood beneath a gorgeous flower arch that framed the ocean backdrop perfectly.

Hand-in-hand they stood, their looks the epitome of laid-back elegance! Landon wore a timeless black tuxedo with their wedding date embroidered on his shirt sleeve. Lauren donned a gown with a fitted bodice and illusion neckline.

“I wanted something light and beachy while Landon wanted to keep it more classic. I went with a more classic hair style with the low bun, so I felt we complemented each other well.”

The chicness continued into the reception. A neon sign popped above botanical greens for a modern touch while elevated floral arrangements and garland dressed the tablescapes with elegance. “I wanted to keep it simple to not take attention away from the space, but add to it. Purelove made my exact vision come to life!” recalls the bride.

Once the night sky fell, bistro lights and candles set the mood just in time for Lauren and Landon to share a first dance above the makeshift dance floor.
