The time and thoughtfulness that goes into wedding day fashion is abundant. Every person puts their own special twist on their attire that plays a large part in telling the story of their big day. That’s exactly how we chose these top picks for Best Style in 2022. We looked beneath the surface to see which garments carried significant meaning or taught us a thing or two about wedding fashion. But don’t worry — these pieces are just as pretty on the outside, too!

Donning traditional Pakistani wedding outfits for their Islamic cultural ceremony, this couple’s Los Angeles wedding fused together traditions with modernity in their apparel. It sure did catch our eyes and our hearts! | Dress by Farfetch; Photography by La Rousse Photography

When you can’t find what you’re looking for … make it! That’s exactly what Alix did for their cozy bookstore wedding! The fashion-enthusiast self-sewed their boldly patterned gown to match their energetic, yet elegant style. Their love, Angie, complemented the look with an outstanding green power suit. Together they showed their queer fashion was picture perfect and allowed their personalities to shine! | Dress handmade; Suit Design by Hobbs London; Photography by Ez Powers Photography

Need proof that tuxedos can have their own ‘“wow-moment”? Allow us to show off Preston and Jesse’s chic Tampa wedding. This high-fashion celebration looks like it’s straight from a magazine with Preston and Jesse’s looks stopping everyone in their tracks. Not only that, but their wedding party’s black ensembles added to the look of luxury! | Photography by Katelyn Prisco Photography

Wanting to channel their inner Disney princess and Prince Charming for their Florida wedding, Heather and Ellen’s attire shows us that fairytales do exist! With a ball gown and tiara perfecting Heather’s glamorous look, Ellen’s navy tuxedo was complete by using a part of Heather’s wedding dress as her hair tie. It’s every bit as elegant as it is magical! | Dress Designer: Hayley Paige; Dress Shop: Calvet Couture Bridal; Headpiece: Maria Elena Headpieces; Suit Shop: Leonardo 5th Avenue; Photography: Kristen Weaver Photography

We love when couples let their personality shine in their wedding-day attire choices, so if you're on the fence, read this as your sign to go for it. We're not sure which suit we love more from this playful wedding inspo — Dan's floral-patterned suit or Rhys's sequined look with the tulle skirt. | Jacket by Crazy in Love Bridal; Photography by Stephanie Dreams Photography

What’s better than one beautiful wedding look? How about TWO?! Or in this case FOUR! Although Sadie and Jody kept mostly everything about their Edmonton elopement simple they didn’t shy away from implementing grand style. They each wore multiple dresses – the first long, being off-the-shoulder gowns before swapping into ivory cocktail dresses for their reception. We love that they did what they wanted and didn’t hold back. And each look is breathtaking if we do say so ourselves! | Dress Designs by David's Bridal and Aesling; Dress Salon: Delica Bridal; Photography by Wild Ridge Photo + Film

Understated yet chic, the bride's sheath ASOS gown hugged in all the right places (and can we please discuss that scoop back?!), and we love how the groom paired his blazer and slacks with a white turtleneck. Both looks prove that you can find chic options off-the-rack. | Dress Design by ASOS; Photography by Alexandra Knight Photography
