Charles and Edward pulled out all the stops for their tropical wedding at Tampa River Center.
Their stunning riverfront ceremony kickstarted their paradise-inspired vision as the deck area greeted guests with impeccable views. The grooms united in front of the water wearing matching tuxedos and blush pink bow ties before partaking in a tradition of jumping the broom.
“We absolutely love the jumping of the broom during the ceremony, which symbolizes the joining of two families or offers a respectful nod to family ancestors,” shares Charles and Edward.
While Charles and Edward’s goal was to make their wedding an unforgettable experience for guests, they too were feeling the abundance of love as friends and family cheered for them upon exiting their ceremony and made their grand appearance into the reception.
Touches of peach accompanied by white and green colors brought the outdoors in. Dreamy candlelight and soft colored petals lined the tablescapes with a blend of strikingly exotic floral arrangements really stealing the spotlight.
“Our reception decor was really the work of Bruce Wayne Floral,” exclaims the couple. “They created a tropical paradise inside our reception. Their eye for design made our wedding come to life. We opted for tropicals and the combination of flowers, mixed with high and low palm accents.”
The suspended floral palms above the dance floor in particular was the perfect element to encompass the theme and for Charles and Edward to share one of their favorite memories of the day.
“Our first dance was one that we had planned and practiced for and even took lessons. It went off without a hitch and it was a special moment we shared together,” they recall.
In between the laughter, toasts, dancing, and fun Charles and Edward cut into their modernly designed square wedding cake with botanical features. As if that wasn’t enough of a sweet treat, personalized shot glasses, candles, and bottles of hot sauce were given to each guest as a thank you.
