Galia Lahav debuted their Fall 2026 collection at New York Bridal Fashion Week, which featured a dress that costs $1,000,000.
A 30-carat ruby. A detachable heirloom. A seven-figure price tag. Welcome to the era of bridal extra.
Just when we thought we’d seen it all on the Bridal Fashion Week runway, Galia Lahav said, “Hold my champagne.” The couture house unveiled a jaw-dropping $1 million wedding gown, made in collaboration with the world-renowned diamond jeweler Leibish, and the result is couture meets crown jewel.
Part of the Fall/Winter 2026 Couture Collection, appropriately titled Keepsake, this gown isn’t just couture, it’s a full-on legacy piece. Think silk, lace, and … a 30-carat ruby brooch at the heart of it all. Yes, you read that right: 30 carats! Natural. Rare. Detachable. After you say “I do,” the ruby transforms into a custom fine-jewelry piece, because if your wedding dress doesn’t come with its own inheritance, what are we even doing?
“The inspiration behind this gown was the very essence of a keepsake: Something extraordinary, meant to be treasured and passed on,” shares Sharon Sever, Head Designer at Galia Lahav. “It's not only a dress it's history woven in silk and stone — a symbol of love passed on to the next generations.”
And since a million dollar dress isn't in the average soonlywed's budget (but if it is, please share those wedding photos with us!), Galia Lahav is also dropping a secondary version with lab-grown diamonds (because sustainability and sparkle can coexist) and even a rental option for the ruby pin, so you can borrow your bling without breaking the bank.
Let’s be honest, most of us aren’t swiping our cards for a million-dollar dress. But the idea of weaving an heirloom into your wedding day? That’s timeless, whether it’s something passed down to you or something you’re creating to pass on.
