Celebrate the magical Harry Potter-themed wedding between Amy & Ashley, filled with details inspired by their shared love of the wizarding world.

Amy and Ashley’s wedding in historic Savannah, Georgia looks like something out of a movie. Perhaps because it was inspired by the popular flicks of Harry Potter!

“[We] are opposites in almost every way. We do agree on a few very important things though: our love for each other, breakfast, and Harry Potter,” shares the couple.

The Georgia State Railroad Museum set the scene for the epic day making guests feel as though they were celebrating at King's Cross Station.

Before everyone gathered together, Amy and Ashley shared a moment beneath the trees, as if they were in the Forbidden Forest. It was a first look that would make storybooks jealous in part due to the setting and the other because of the sweetness.

After completing portraits hand-in-hand, it was time for their outdoor ceremony. Against the exposed brick of the venue sat the iconic Always symbol as their backdrop; matching the cufflinks Ashley wore.

“I (Amy) was in a car accident last year. I had a steel rod put in for a broken leg. It was a long road to recovery, and I honestly didn’t know if I’d be able to walk down the aisle. But, on our wedding day, with my dad by my side and a cane in my hand, I made it. I got to marry my best friend and I got to walk down the aisle to do it,” gushes Amy.

The pair also recall another special moment that occurred during their uniting. “Right before our vows, he read a quote from the Obergefell v. Hodges Supreme Court ruling that guaranteed same-sex couples have the right to marry. We know how important this is, and we will never take it for granted.”

Post-nuptials, it was off to the reception which mimicked the feel of the great hall at Hogwarts. Family style tablescapes lined the area with floating candles strung above them. Nearby an antique table displayed the semi-naked drip red-velvet wedding cake with the Always symbol as the cake topper. A rich color palette of red, burnt orange, and navy blues topped off the moody tone of the magical day.

“All of the Harry Potter elements, but especially the hanging candle chandelier, really made it feel like we were in the Great Hall at Hogwarts! Also, the Deathly Hallows wedding arch that we had made. We searched for someone for a long time who could make it, and we finally got lucky and found someone in our area to pull it off.”

If beautiful celebrations were the ticket to get into Hogwarts, consider this wedding day accepted!
