Everything about Laura and Nathan’s celebration in Burlington, Wisconsin is enchanting and wonderful! Their literary-inspired wedding included an iconic Harry Potter theme and a ceremony honoring Nathan’s Native American heritage.
With an array of colors mimicking the fantasy world of wizardry, the duo decided to implement the shades into their own attire; Laura in a deep green lace dress with her beau accenting his suit with a yellow and black tie and pocket square. Their wedding party was also seen in similar hues as they stood next to Nathan and Laura for their ceremony which was a beautiful tribute.
“We had a mixed Native American and religious wedding ceremony which involved prayers to the creator, being wrapped in a blanket together throughout the ceremony and marriage by the pipe (pipe ceremony). Surrounded by our close loved ones we had a small intimate wedding on a beautiful sunny fall day,” mentioned the pair. They also recalled the sunflowers and the beautiful arch they stood under stating that Nathan made the floral arch just months leading up to the wedding.
Following the wand arch exiting the ceremony, guests enjoyed a potluck buffet under the tented reception space which included hanging candles, sunflower centerpieces, and a cake with Harry Potter accents.
