To all the mothers out there, this is for you. This beautiful shoot orchestrated by Asian Fusion Weddings and Formosa Events and captured by Stephen Sager celebrates real-life moms with a sophisticated Mama Bird-themed brunch for Mothers’ Day.
The tablescape is decorated with nest-inspired topiaries, white ceramic birds, delicious macarons resting in glass eggs, and gorgeous blue-and-gold place settings. Laser-cut Mommy & Me signage hangs on the boxwood backdrop that’s bordered by an elaborate balloon garland (notice the tiny balloon bird?!).
Cocktail and dessert stations continue the gorgeous blue-and-gold palette and feature some incredible party details like the floor decal, acrylic paint-swipe invitation and creative bird-themed sweets.
And as much as I love the pretty details, Wendy of Asian Fusion Weddings wanted her mom friends to feel celebrated. “Mubina Jaffer — silver dress — has been a friend of mine since high school. I’ve seen her grow and develop a program for her son and other children’s lives through mental toughness training as it relates to sports. Jane Parisi — midnight blue dress — was a former bride of mine. She has an infectious smile and warmth that is genuinely exhibited day in and day out as a nurse. Kathy Maloney — white suit — is multi-talented actress/host. Then there’s me, in the floral dress – I’m the event planner and producer of this shoot. I can’t think of a better way for kids and moms to get all glammed up and have beautiful moments captured together. Children grow up way too fast and it’s important to document their journey as well as our own.”
