Romantic Garden Wedding in California

Sophisticated fashion and an enchanted setting make this Menlo Park, California wedding positively dreamy.

Shyenne and Morgan's vision for their Menlo Park, California wedding was to create an atmosphere that exudes timeless elegance and enchantment. Their chosen color palette of champagne and ivory whispered sophistication throughout the day. Lush greenery and blooming flowers served as the backdrop, evoking a serene and magical outdoor garden.

“We had always envisioned an enchanting outdoor wedding set in a garden, which was deeply rooted in Shyenne’s passion as an Environmental Scientist and our love for nature,” says the couple. “Although Italy had been our dream location, the reality of our grandparents’ health led us to shift our plans and choose a venue in the United States. When we stepped into Allied Art Guilds, we knew we had found something truly exceptional. The Spanish architecture and the sprawling gardens seemed tailor-made for the vision we had cherished for so long.”

A champagne wall built by Shyenne's dad greeted guests to their ceremony, which Morgan's grandfather officiated, as Sinatra played in the background.

“It was really important for us to have an inclusive wedding party. In addition to the bridesmaids, there were also three bridesmen who were the life of the party,” says Shyenne. “We also had someone who was in the midst of transitioning and we made sure to get them a they/them patch to add to their tux to make them more comfortable.”

Morgan looked dashing in a classic black suit and bow tie, while Shyenne adorned a custom-made strapless gown from Barcelona, accented with a fashionable bow on the back. For her Something Blue, Shyenne wore her mother's cherished wedding shoes. “It as really special to walk down the aisle wearing her shoes,” Shyenne says.

From the breathtaking floral arrangements of blush tones and understated greenery to the romantic European inspiration gracing each table, Shyenne and Morgan's reception decor transported guests to another time and place. Construction of their venue reminiscent of Spain meant minimal enhancements were needed, with their table number cards armed with favorite art pieces.

As moonlight cascaded over the dance floor, Shyenne and Morgan's first dance to “Until I Found You” by Stephen Sanchez perfectly encapsulated their profound love. A harmonious blend of reggaeton, '90s classics, and dance hits drew guests to the dance floor, etching memories that will forever be etched in their hearts. They sipped from the Champagne tower and cut into their Lambeth-style wedding cake, accented with a vintage cake topper.
