The prettiest cliffside black tie affair we ever did see, Jenna and Phillip’s wedding will truly take your breath away!
Since October already carried significance to their engagement, they decided to wed during that month too. As lovers of the ocean, the East coast couple knew they wanted an intimate outdoor celebration.
“When we came to Portland, Oregon we visited the Oregon Coast and fell in love with the dramatic cliffs and waters along with the beautiful picturesque coastline,” shares the pair. That led them on a search for the perfect place to host their big day, to which they discovered their venue, The Point.
Their ceremony incorporated amazing elements that added an intimate touch as they were united by a dear friend. Jenna’s brother-in-law then led the Jewish ceremony incorporating the ketubah, prayers, and glass breaking under the chuppah that Phillip built.
“We truly enjoyed every moment. But the most memorable moment was marrying each other under the beautiful chuppah made by Phillip in front of our friends and family,” recalls Jenna and Phillip.
The chuppah was adorned with flowers of black, white, and subtle hints of pink. The simple color palette also shined through the reception details consisting of timeless tablescapes with white linens and black flatware, modern-arched black and white signs and escort cards, as well as a dessert table that overlooked the ocean.
The two shared a choreographed dance to “You are the Best Thing” by Ray LaMontagne played by the five-piece band. Guests then joined in on the fun following their dinner underneath the stars and strung bistro lights.
