LaVicke and Dayna had a beautiful fall Brooklyn Winery wedding surrounded by family and friends.
LaVicke and Dayna hosted their big day at Brooklyn Winery, which not only incorporated a seasonal fall color palette, but worked well with the venue’s aesthetic, too!
Through separate entrances, they entered the ceremony before coming together and walking down the aisle side-by-side.
LaVicke looked amazing in a custom jacquard blazer, tied together with suede loafers and accessories from Dayna's grandmother, topped with a pearl headpiece. Dayna's dress was handed down to her from her mother. “After seeing old pictures of her mother in the dress, she put it on jokingly just to see if it would fit. It was beautiful, and her mother asked if she wanted to get married in it,” says LaVicke.
Beneath the paneled wall covered with plants and seated barrels, their wedding party stood beside them for the momentous occasion. They wore a blend of burgundy, mauve and berry dresses and suits which tied into the brides’ chosen “wine-palette” color combination perfectly. “Our vision was simply to have our wedding ooze romance. We were big on soft lighting, candles, and the space having charm,” says the newlyweds. “Overall, our wedding was super romantic, with a blend of a rustic and industrial feels.”
After sealing their love with a kiss, they jumped the broom and signed their marriage license, making it official before posing for some epic portraits. A quick wardrobe change for Dayna (switching into a caped jumpsuit) and then, it was time to party! Guests were welcomed into the reception area where wooden tables and gunmetal chairs were displayed. Gorgeous candlelight and floral arrangements DIY'd by the family sat on top of each family style tablescape with vintage style plates at each setting.
Guests signed their well-wishes onto old Motown records, “That was personal since Dayna is from Detroit, and a musician,” explains LaVicke.
Between the mingling, the toasts, and the dancing, LaVicke and Dayna were able to sneak off for some more photos amongst the barrels of the winery before cutting into their three-tier semi-naked wedding cake topped off with a large red flower.
Perhaps it’s the winery setting and tasty color combination, or maybe it’s the moments that are sweeter than shiraz, but this is surely hoppin’ with all the right kinds of inspiration!
