The Queer AF Wedding Expo Is Coming to Denver

A wedding expo created exclusively for LGBTQ+ couples and allies.

If you've ever walked into a wedding expo, you've probably been hit over the head with an abundance of heteronormativity, and your same-sex significant other was assumed to be your maid-of-honor instead of your partner. It's one of the many ways the wedding industry irks us, so when something comes along that doesn't fall into that hetero-driven narrative, I want to shout it from the rooftops.

The Queer AF Engagement Party: An Unconventional Wedding Showcase is coming to Denver on April 21st and it is a wedding expo that is filled vendors who get you. You don't have to have the awkward mini coming out every time you talk to a vendor to make sure they're cool that you're an LGBTQ+ couple, no assumptions you'll be wearing a dress or a suit based on your gender, you don't have to explain that “No, she's actually my fiancée” when they comment how nice it is for your bridesmaid to be there with you. Inclusivity is engrained into the mission of this showcase.
