Last week, bridal fashion designers flocked to New York City to showcase their upcoming Spring 2025 collections to editors and buyers for Bridal Fashion Week, and Team Love Inc. had a front row seat.
A few key takeaways that stood out to us: practically every collection had a mini option, so that second (or third!) dress concept is going to be sticking around for awhile, and designers leaned on the past for inspiration with swing skirts, dropped waists, bubble hemlines, basque waistlines, and corsets dominating. Read on for our full trend recap, hitting aisles in Spring 2025.
Oversized Rosettes
To quote the great Miranda Priestly, “Florals for spring? Groundbreaking.” But truly, designers took the popular floral motif and modernized it. We spotted oversized rose designs in a medley of ways — from cascading down skirts to neck detailing and single solo acts — all equally stunning

Dropped Waist
The dropped waist has been gaining in popularity ever since Bridgerton started dominating our streaming time, but it hasn’t been quite as prominent as it was this season. Though the style itself may be Old World, it was used in fashions that were elegant (Anne Barge), whimsical (Nadia Manjarrez), and modern (Jaclyn WHYTE), showing how versatile this silhouette can be.

Peplum
Another blast-from-the-past trend, the skirt-like style of peplum adds a certain sweetness to a look and can elevate a simple style to runway- (or aisle-!) ready.

Cat-Eye Bodices
While the peplum was sweet, this next trend is sexy. A cat-eye bodice is when a strapless neckline ends in pointed edges, creating a “cat eye” look. It’s a sophisticated sultriness without being over-the-top.

Neck Scarves
In terms of accessories, we saw a lot of veils being swapped for scarves, which is perfect for warmer-weather months.

Corsets
Another trend that has slowly been growing over the past few years thanks to Bridgerton: corsets. These were everywhere at Fashion Week, and clearly, this trend isn’t going away anytime soon.

Basque Waistlines
I know I mentioned the dropped waist earlier, but this specific version of it deserves its own trend category simply because it was so popular. A basque waistline is a version of a dropped waist, that ends in a V shape. Very architectural in structure and gives your silhouette a nice definition.
