Nestled amongst beautiful blooms and greenery, Joshua and Mark posed in the Columbus Park of Roses in Ohio for their romantic summer engagement session. “The Park of Roses is one of the most beautiful parks in Columbus, Ohio. We went there for the first time the previous summer when the roses were starting to bloom, and we told ourselves it would be a beautiful place for our engagement photos with the beautiful flowers. We also wanted a more casual atmosphere due to our love of coffee, and across the street was a cute coffee shop!” the soonlyweds exclaimed.
Their session comes after a fall proposal; Joshua proposing to Mark during his favorite holiday. “Knowing that Halloween is Mark's favorite time of the year and that I could plan around his work schedule at the haunted house, I was able to secretly organize a proposal. With the assistance of the haunted house crew and my best friends, I was able to completely surprise Mark — he was completely and utterly caught off-guard!” says Joshua. “It took my brain a good three minutes just to accept that it was really happening! Josh had always made it very clear that I had to be the one to propose to him,” adds Mark.
The glowing sun perfectly highlighted the moments shared between the pair as they documented their love; with looks that complemented one another and their chosen photo location.
With Flowers and Bread right across the street, Joshua and Mark ended their session doing one of their favorite things … visiting a coffee shop! And if you ask us, it doesn’t really get much better than that.
