Inspiration: Cozy and Rustic Winter Wedding Styled Shoot

Winter Woodland Inspiration ShootFor the last two weeks there have been a lot of negative notions about the weather (I have been basically hibernating with Netflix the entire month) and we quickly forget how beautiful Father Winter can truly be. Thank goodness we have Joelsview Photography to remind us. Winter weddings are a great way to save money because it’s not peak season and, as seen here by the talents of Leanne from Okanagan Weddings, you certainly aren’t short on inspiration. From icy-toned bouquets to lush cover-ups and gilded tabletop knickknacks, this styled shoot is all you need for your winter wedding inspiration board.

 Ideas We Love

  • Wood Wall: We love the idea of using firewood to create a unique backdrop for an altar or photo booth. Compile pieces from friends with fireplaces for a free and super easy statement.
  • Lounge: Create a cozy lounge, complete with a freestanding fireplace, for friends to take a break from dancing. Vintage furniture rental companies are popping up all over the country and are great sources for these types of finds.
  • Dipped Pinecones: Instead of painting the entire pinecone, we love how Leanne dabbed a touch of metallic just to the tips for an unexpected glint while keeping with the rustic theme.
