Inspiration Board: New Year’s Eve Jewel-Toned Shoot
This lovely (and budget-friendly!) inspiration shoot by Samantha McFarlen Photography and Emily Louise Photography was inspired by the changing seasons, the transition from old to new. And with 2015 a mere hours away, change is certainly on our minds.
This pretty jewel-toned palette is certainly festive, whether you’re toasting to a new year or a new marriage. Add a frothy bouquet and centerpiece, throw in some handsome succulents and a darling cake sprinkled with rosemary, and you’ve got yourself a party. When designing, think in vignettes and look at what you already have in your home (or your friends’!). Most items seen here were found or borrowed. Vases, knick-knacks and picture frames are great for creating a tablescape for your cake or guestbook tables and they’re free! Not to mention it adds a much more personal touch.
Sparkly bridesmaid dresses are tough to pull off without looking Vegas glam. The unruly bouquets give it that perfect balance.
