Going Brogue: Fashionably Fab Fall Footwear

Now that summer’s winding to a close, it’s (sadly) about time to stash those sandals in favor of more cold-weather friendly footwear. And while we’re sad to bid adieu to gorgeous stilettos and comfy flip-flops, we can’t say we’re entirely disappointed, because the fall and winter footwear options aren’t lacking. We’re especially partial to dashing, dance-worthy lace-up kicks such as brogues and oxfords. For both the dapper gents and femme, there are plenty of footwear options to make sure your feet are still stunning on your wedding day.

From textured tweed to sparkly glitter and a few shades of gray in between, these oxfords run the gamut of comfort, style and price. The updated neutral pairs well with white, of course, but can also complement all manners of color from pastel to navy to, well, gray itself.

Brogues are an eye-catching shoe, and one that — in my opinion — should be flaunted like nobody’s business. Bright colors, fun shapes and stunning styles only increase the allure of this footwear option.

Neutrals and Browns

Autumn / winter and brown are just kind of a “duh” for me, but some of these styles translate well over to the warming spring months as well. Some of the above are more formal than others, but you’ll never be accused of sacrificing fashion when you rock these kicks.
