Set against sweeping harbor views, this Brooklyn wedding at The Liberty Warehouse channels pure New York glamour with a modern, city-chic edge.
When Victoria and Kevin said “I do” at The Liberty Warehouse in Brooklyn, New York, they brought their love story full circle; from meeting as college freshmen at Fordham University to celebrating their marriage surrounded by 220 loved ones overlooking the New York Harbor.
The couple’s story began on their first day at Fordham, when fate placed them in the same freshman orientation group. “Our friendship blossomed through shared classes and mutual friends until we finally recognized there was something more during our semester abroad in London,” Victoria shared.
Years later, Kevin planned a heartfelt proposal in Prospect Park, just steps from their apartment. “On a private path on the edge of the lake, Kevin got on one knee in the mud of a recent storm,” Victoria recalled. Getting engaged in Brooklyn made it clear that Victoria and Kevin wanted an urban chic celebration in the heart of NYC. After visiting just a few venues, The Liberty Warehouse stole their hearts. “The city views, the historical look, and the incredibly warm staff all added to the uniqueness of this venue,” they said.
The venue’s location offered a picture-perfect backdrop of the Statue of Liberty and Manhattan skyline, quintessentially New York.
Their ceremony took place on the brick promenade, framed by a geometric altar adorned with lush, colorful florals. “The ceremony was our favorite part of the wedding. Even with over 200 people with us, it felt very intimate in front of the vast harbor,” Victoria said.
Victoria’s wedding-day look was effortlessly elegant. She wore a Romona Keveza strapless mermaid gown complete with custom buttons and detachable tulle train pieces. For her second look, she opted for a sparkly mini.
The wedding’s design reflected the couple’s daily life in Brooklyn. They drew inspiration from “storefronts along our favorite streets, desserts on the waterfront in Red Hook, and the florist Kevin had been using for my birthday flowers for years.”
Their color palette was a blend of rich, earthy botanicals — rusty oranges, lilacs, and gray blues — softened with creamy ivory and yellow tones. The floral arrangements featured dusty roses, butter-yellow peonies, chrysanthemums, and billy balls for the ceremony, transitioning to magenta peonies, blue delphiniums, and purple allium for the reception.
As the sun set, guests moved indoors to dine at candlelit tables overlooking the harbor. The ceiling dripped with greenery and shimmering disco balls, creating an atmosphere of warmth and celebration. The couple added personal touches throughout, including a custom wedding logo, which appeared on everything from coasters to a neon sign. Keeping with their Brooklyn theme, they skipped the traditional wedding cake in favor of pies.
Stylish, heartfelt, and rooted in the place they call home, Victoria and Kevin’s day truly was the ultimate New York love story.
