California-Inspired Jewel-Toned Wedding in Los Angeles

Vibrant jewel-toned elegance meets modern California romance at Los Angeles’ iconic Grass Room.

Love, laughter, and a whole lot of dancing—Allison and Scott’s wedding was nothing short of a party to remember! With jewel tones, personal touches, and their adorable pup Koozie honored in spirit, their celebration perfectly captured their vibrant personalities.

Modern romance at its finest—Allison and Scott met on Hinge and had their first date.

“We wiled the night away talking about our shared love of music, movies, comedy, food, and more,” they shared.

Scott’s follow-up text almost got lost in the void of an iPhone update, but fate (and good timing) brought them back together for more dates. Four years, countless playlists, and one very loved pug mix later, Scott popped the question on a whale-tail bench overlooking the Pacific in Santa Barbara. Allison said yes, and the party planning began!

Allison’s wedding dress was a dream come true. She wore a gown by Claire Pettibone, found at The Castle in West Hollywood, where she met Claire herself.

“The care Claire took to understand everything I was looking for (vintage-inspired, romantic) was so special. She made me feel like a princess marrying my true prince.”

And in a heartfelt nod to family, Allison wore her mom’s veil from when her parents got married.

As for Scott, his bold style led the way when it came to wedding colors.

“Scott already had in his mind that he wanted an eggplant suit, so… jewel tones were the clear choice! We wanted something bright, whimsical, and fun.”

The Grass Room, with its lush greenery and hints of soft pink, inspired the entire vibe. The couple added their own flair with vintage-inspired stained glass bud vases, carefully sourced by Allison and her mom, and stunning floral arrangements featuring tropical wild blooms like ferns, monstera fronds, anthuriums, and billy buttons.

Their officiant was able to weave together a ceremony that was both personal and touching. The emotional high point? Allison’s vows included a letter she had written to Scott after their third date but never shared until that moment. Not a dry eye in the house!

After all the sweet moments, it was time to party! The soundtrack of their love story played throughout the night, including “Lover’s Carvings” by Bibio—the song Scott had included on the first playlist he ever made for Allison. Guests even got to jam out to a curated Spotify playlist featuring music from their relationship.

Domino’s made a late-night cameo for the dance-floor diehards, while tacos were enjoyed earlier in the celebration – catering to both Scott and Allison’s favorite foods and rounding out a day that was 100 percent them.
