I'm so excited to share my baby shower with you all today! Last month, I teamed up with the talented Jove Meyer Events to throw a cocktail party in honor of my sweet daughter's arrival. I wanted to steer away from a traditional shower (i.e. no games) and create a brunch soiree with good friends, food, drink and, of course, decor. Jove brought my gender-neutral greenery-filled vision to life by taping lush leaves to the walls (using trendy Washi tape, natch) and creating a gift teepee overflowing with ferns and florals. When it came to decor details, I turned to Minted (which offers soooo much more than just wedding invites, by the way). Artwork, shower stationery, and gold foil-dipped and watercolor silkscreen trees added touches of whimsy, and we enlisted Julia Bez to create gorgeous custom calligraphy signage.
It was important for me to include personalized elements. I had the idea to designate a mantra for each of my future children, and for our firstborn, Elliott James, it is Be Brave. I bought a decal to represent this and we placed it over a coke float station (fun fact: the only thing I craved during this pregnancy was Coca-Cola!).
And thanks to Brklyn View Photography, I have amazing photos from the day to share with you all and look back on.
