It was a birthday to remember for Jessie, who had been with her childhood sweetheart Braeden since they were both 14-years-old. “Part of me always knew Braeden was the one when we were dating, but the real moment I knew was when I graduated from college,” says the ecstatic bride-to-be. “He was supportive of every decision I made throughout my college career and remained calm during stressful times. Braeden is the most genuine person I know, and he would help anyone out in a heartbeat. He is also the one person who can get me to really laugh.”

The Proposal
Jessie: The day of our proposal was my birthday. I came home from work in a hurry to get ready for dinner with our friends. I was surprised to see presents and flowers when I got home, as Braeden is usually a last-minute type of guy when it comes to gifts. There was a big gift and a small gift. He told me to open the big gift, which was a set of PYREX containers I had been wanting. When I opened the smaller gift, it was a Mrs. Field’s cookie card. We share a love for food, so for almost every occasion he gets me a cookie card. In a rush to get ready, I saw it was a cookie card and said, “Thanks!” He told me to open the card, so I did and in it was the question in frosting, “Will you marry me?”
