Following their first look, families took part in a traditional Chinese tea ceremony before their outdoor wedding ceremony. It was there the sun shone above them, vintage rugs lined the makeshift aisle, and a geometric arch adored with flowers stood as the backdrop as the two exchanged vows.
The wedding party attire popped in a gorgeous mismatched mustard yellow apparel. That same color also made an appearance on the couple’s drip wedding cake that was made with love along with most of the other decor, too.
“Their wedding had a major emphasis on family and DIY, as all of the decor and even the wedding cake were made by the bride and her family, as well as all of the handmade floral arrangements, adding original succulent arrangements on all of the tables,” says their photographer.
The open air of the reception space was just perfect for the free-spirited ambiance Marsha and Joaquin had hoped for in their celebration. Once dinner at the family style tables was complete, it allowed for everyone to partake in dancing underneath the stars.
