Kamen and Taylor tied the knot in a glamorous affair at the historic Los Angeles Athletic Club. With 60 of their closest friends and family in attendance, their wedding was a celebration of love and elegance, with a touch of retro Hollywood glam retro.
The couple's love story began on Tinder, blossoming into a beautiful romance. Kamen proposed at The Cellar, a speakeasy-style wine bar in Pasadena. The proposal was personal and creative, featuring a custom-painted champagne bottle and a surprise gathering of friends and family.
For their wedding, they selected the Los Angeles Athletic Club. “We wanted something that felt like a Ralph Lauren ad and this place fit that vibe perfectly,” says the couple on their venue choice.
Their ceremony was a heartfelt blend of traditions. Kamen, raised Jewish, incorporated a chuppah for its symbolism. “I'm not religious anymore, but we did want to incorporate the chuppah because we loved what it symbolized — bringing together friends and family under one roof and building a home together,” says Kamen. The chuppah, adorned with greenery and brass accents, created an intimate space for their vows, reflecting their love and unity. The wedding theme was dark and moody, with brass accents and lush greenery, capturing the essence of an Old Hollywood gentleman’s club. Malin and Goetz Cannabis candles added a dark, sexy scent to the ambiance, enhancing the sophisticated vibe.
Florals by Sammy La delivered stunning long-stem French white tulips for the ceremony, delivering on the Ralph Lauren preppy vibes they were going for, which were later repurposed for the Vanity Fair Oscar After Party-style portrait shoot during the reception.
Both Kamen and Taylor looked dashing in custom Indochino tuxedos. Kamen accessorized with his grandfather’s gold watch, while Taylor wore a gold lapel pin gifted by his best friend. Their sophisticated looks perfectly complemented the Old Hollywood theme, adding a personal touch to their wedding day attire. The reception was filled with unique details that made the evening memorable. A champagne tower at 11:11, featuring a vintage limited edition bottle of Veuve Clicquot that they bought the day they were engaged, was a standout moment, symbolizing good luck. “The 11:11 champagne tower was the most memorable for me. It was my first moment having a concept of time for the night,” the grooms note. “Everything flew by and was a giant blur.” Instead of a traditional cake cutting, the couple opted for a dessert bar, offering an array of treats including lemon bars, cupcakes, and cheesecake bites.
Entertainment was a highlight of the night. After dinner, guests enjoyed a live performance by singer-songwriter Minke, a personal friend of the couple. The Vanity Fair Oscar After Party-inspired portrait studio, captured by photographer Frances Iacuzzi, was a unique alternative to a photo booth, providing guests with elegant keepsake portraits.
Kamen and Taylor ensured their guests felt appreciated with welcome leather Dopp Kits filled with goodies. Additionally, each guest received a personal portrait shot during the reception, sent along with their thank you notes.
Kamen and Taylor’s wedding was a beautiful reflection of their love, blending tradition with personal touches, and creating memories to last a lifetime.
