An Epic West Hollywood Wedding Between Two Founders

The founder of Wondery, Scott Velasquez and co-founder of Danvas, Hernan Lopez, exchanged vows at a West Hollywood studio lot.

Co-founder and chairperson of Danvas, Hernan Lopez, and founder of Wondery, Scott Velasquez, recently celebrated their union in a stunning wedding in California.

The picturesque event took place at The Lot at Formosa, a suite of studios renowned for hosting iconic television shows and commercial shoots like Euphoria, Big Little Lies, and Little Fires Everywhere.

The ceremony was officiated by the esteemed president of GLAAD, Sarah Kate Ellis, holding a special significance as it was her inaugural time officiating a wedding.

Ghost chairs were placed in a circulation formation for the outdoor ceremony with Hernan and Todd standing in the center of the design surrounded by botanical greens.

The reception was nothing short of a dreamy, immersive experience. With projection mapping adorning the venue walls, the celebration showcased the beautiful journey of Hernan and Scott's love story. This included the LA skyline and Hollywood sign to honor where the couple first met, Texas to represent Scott’s hometown, Buenos Aires to show Hernan’s roots, and Mykonos to display the couple’s honeymoon spot.

A custom monogram popped throughout the decor; shown on signs, cocktail napkins, and on the dark colored dance floor. The overall modern look of the reception design truly complemented the industrial style of the venue.

Entertainment included a 13-person band led by David Davis serenading the guests, while a string quartet, reminiscent of the beloved style from Bridgerton, added a touch of elegance during the ceremony. The surprise performance by Icona Pop added an extra spark of glamor to the star-studded event.
