Set in a breathtaking Italian castle, this destination wedding showcases historic grandeur, romantic architecture, and elegant European style.
Set in the hills of Italy, Elzar and Dino’s wedding at Castello di Compiano was a heartfelt blend of romance, culture, and personal style. Their celebration felt like an intimate destination escape, where meaningful details, a touch of rain (considered good luck in Italian culture!), and a bold “upstage-the-Royals” dress code created a joy-filled experience.
Elzar and Dino’s love story began in true modern fashion, on a dating app, but quickly grew into something lasting. After years of traveling together, including a special trip to Italy where Dino proposed at the very castle they would later marry in, their celebration felt like a full-circle moment. “This was the first place we visited, and where Dino proposed,” Elzar shared.
When light rain moved their ceremony indoors, it only added to the magic. Inside a regal museum room filled with gilded details, they exchanged vows in both English and Italian (with a sweet nod in Tagalog), while their dog, Boba, walked down the aisle to kick things off. Live music set the tone, and guests tossed petals as the couple made their joyful exit.
The day struck a perfect balance between refined and fun. While Elzar and Dino wore timeless custom suits, their guests embraced the theme with bold, colorful looks. The overall design remained intentionally minimal — neutral tones, soft florals, and candlelight allowed the 1,000-year-old castle to shine.
From handwritten letters and personalized favors to a multi-course Italian feast, every detail was curated with care. Despite planning across time zones, their wedding came together beautifully, proving that the most meaningful celebrations are the ones that reflect your story, your cultures, and your love in every single detail.
