It was a double-take that led Wayne to be smitten and a beaming smile that made Nikki’s heart feel full. It was this meet-cute that blossomed into something more. Little did these two lovebirds know that their first date to Discovery Park would be the very spot they would say their vows to one another years later.
Nikki and Wayne’s Seattle wedding truly embodies everything a wedding should be about – love and happiness. The details were simple, the moments were bright, and the romantic vibe was strong.
They had an intimate ceremony with ten close, loved ones in attendance before celebrating at their private reception at Art Marble 21 with a larger crowd. It was a cold February day, but the cheer surrounding them was warm and inviting. “The entrance into the reception – seeing all of our friends and family together in one space congratulating us!” is what the pair recalls as their favorite moment.
Purple was the color of the day, shown through Wayne burgundy tuxedo, Nikki’s beautiful bouquet, the lilac accent linens, and the sweet treats on the dessert display. The relaxed nature of the tone was the perfect palette choice.
Captured by Candace Photography was able to document the simplicity of the details and the celebratory memories including Nikki and Wayne in some of their most treasured locations. “We toured Seattle and did photos at some of their favorite spots: Discovery Park, South Lake Union, Kerry Park, and Bhy Kracke Park,” recalls the photographer.
