Our hearts are with those affected by the California fires. Of course, priorities at this time are ensuring safety and providing living necessities and resources to those in need. For those needing assistance, Mutual Aid Los Angeles Network has an active spreadsheet that they're updating. However, we understand that in the coming days/weeks, if your wedding plans have been affected, that is likely to an extra layer of stress to navigate rescheduling, alongside so many other soonlyweds facing the same challenge.
One of the many things that I love about the wedding industry is that, even though it's a huge industry, it's still very much a community. A community that comes together in times of need, and moves mountains to ensure couples have an incredible wedding experience. A community that has shown time and time again its remarkable ability to rally together, offering hope and solutions to ensure couples can still celebrate their special day.
With several venues damaged or destroyed, we're sharing a database of local venues that can no longer service their clients as well as venues that have immediate availability within the next three months to assist displaced couples.
[EDITOR'S NOTE: This database went live this week, so please give vendors time to add their data, as their access to Internet may still be limited. Additionally in the coming weeks, please share so that we can provide resources to as many couples as possible.]
If you are a Southern California venue who needs help with finding a a new venue for your clients or if you are a venue that has Friday/Saturday/Sunday availability to help displaced couples in the next three months, please complete the form below.
And if you are a vendor/couple seeking availability to reschedule your event, please review our database below. To enlarge on a desktop, click “view larger version” in the bottom right:
To our venue and vendor friends who have suffered losses, please apply for assistance from SEARCH, a 501c3 organization that offers crisis funds to individuals in the live events, meetings, and catering industries. The range allowed to any individual is up to $5,000 per occurrence within a 12-month period. To those who want to donate to this amazing foundation to help rebuild our Southern California events community, please donate here. You can also donate directly to pros who were affected — this spreadsheet has verified vendors who have been impacted, along with ways to help and/or their GoFundMes.
If you need assistance in any other way, please don't hesitate to reach out to me personally on Instagram. We are here for you.
