“Rustic and hip — no tractors or hay bales,” was Melissa and Matt's vision for their wedding day and they knew they had to find the perfect venue to bring it all together. “We instantly fell in love with Foxfire at first sight,” says Matt. “We wanted something that we could not really describe: Boho meets Catskills meets Artisan….but quirky. We found it.” Bonus: the venue was a one-stop shop for catering, drinks and flowers, while doubling as accommodations for guests.
On the wedding day, rain began to fall and the staff went into immediate backup plan mode, lighting bonfires around the yard and covering the veranda. ” As we drove up, the venue looked like a moody, smokey, cozy mountain house. Superb!” exclaims the couple.
Cappy Hotchkiss Photography captured the couple and their three beautiful children around the stunning property, and then the exchanged vows in a heartfelt ceremony underneath towering trees. At the reception, their daughters decided to sing “Fools Rush In” by Elvis. “There was not a dry eye in the house as two of our kids belted the song out and played a ukelele.”
