Some of the best wedding venues are unexpected and unique, much like what you might find inside a museum, which is why museums are the perfect place to hold a wedding. They provide an unexpectedly beautiful setting rich with history. Helena and Nathaniel were drawn to Bowers Museum, an art museum located in Santa Ana, Calif., for its modern aesthetic, which they infused into their gorgeous ceremony and reception.
During the ceremony, a beautiful rendition of “Over the Rainbow” was performed on the ukulele, and Nathaniel's mom recited a poem she had written before Helena and Nathaniel exchanged vows in an intimate setting in front of a gorgeous interwoven wooden backdrop. Afterward, the two families, now one, partook in a traditional tea ceremony to honor Helena’s heritage. Guests then headed into the reception hall, which was held inside the Tangata Restaurant, a room adorned with Mediterranean decor. Behind the lens, Kaysha Weiner Photographer captured the gorgeous details of Helena and Nathaniel's big day, which Helena says was a day full of wonderful memories.
