British actress Amy Jackson marries Ed Westwick in an Italian destination wedding over the weekend.
Gossip girl here, and boy do I have a scoop. Over the weekend, British actress and model, Amy Jackson, lived out all of our inner Blair Waldorf dreams by tying the knot with Chuck Bass actor Ed Westwick. Exchanging vows on the beautiful Amalfi coast in a three day-long celebration, Amy chose to collaborate with Atelier Pronovias, following her attendance of the brand's latest runway show back in April.
The pure silk satin dress's intricate handmade details, including bicolored crystals meticulously placed in a chevron design, required 32 hours for pattern making, 28 hours for embroidery and 45 hours for construction. “I wanted to create a vintage yet modern infusion,” says Jackson. “I think the way it's been created just complements the traditional ceremony dress really beautifully.”
“I wanted something fun but also timeless,” she continues. “I think the most beautiful part of htedress is how it flows and how it drapes perfectly to one section to the next. And I feel confident and I feel sexy in it, but also, elegant.”
The couple's wedding weekend kicked off with a sunset cruise, sailing along the coastline of Ravello, Positano and Sorrento. The event design reflected the nostaglic Capri golden era style with blue-and-white decor, live Italian music and Neopolitan-inspired cuisine.
For the main event, their ceremony was held at the 16th-century villa, Castello Di Rocca Cilento, which they filled with florals. The ceremony aisle was lined with white cherry trees to “feel like a secret garden,” Jackson tells People.
It was important to the couple to incorporate Jackson's 4-year-old son, Andreas — whom she shares with ex George Panayiotou — into the special moment. He served as Westwick's best man and walked down with Westwick down the aisle. “I think it’s a really beautiful way to honor their bond and make sure he feels part of our celebration,” says Jackson.
An amazing food and drink experience was a top priority for the couple. The reception kicked off with an apertivo featuring a series of live-cooking stations such as an oyster bar and friggitoria section serving up fried pizzas. “There was limoncello, dancing, singing and total organized chaos,” the actress jokes.
The next day, the couple bid farewell to their guests with a relaxing afternoon at nearby beach club, decked out in “Westwick Wedding” pool floats.
“For me, [marrying Westwick] means having a life partner to adventure with, to share love and support, to create a beautiful family and to have each other's backs throughout all of life's moments,” Jackson says. “It's about building a future together and creating endless memories, knowing that we are a team through it all.”
