Inspired by this summer's Supreme Court marriage equality ruling, this talented Southern California team of creatives dreamt up an inspiration shoot filled with unique details, from a striped wedding dress (yes!) to a ladder altar and denim textiles.
Amy Millard Design + Photography captured the gorgeous vignettes expertly created by Simply Elegant Weddings at the stunning Bradford Ranch just outside of San Diego.
Ideas We Love
- With the highly anticipated live-action film “Beauty and the Beast” hitting theaters next year, we anticipate Belle's iconic ball gown is going to play a major role in inspiring designers to send voluminous, dramatic ball gowns like these down the runway.
- Using ladders is a creative solution for display. Set a simple wooden board across it for an instant crostini station or use it for a stylized vignette.
- Denim is a material you don't see too often in weddings, so I'm particularly crushing on their usage of it for the napkins. It gives the design a raw, industrial feel — use it for napkins, tablecloths, draping material or rugs.
