I've found when traveling, nothing beats a local's suggestion, and especially when it's your honeymoon, you want to have the best experience possible. Turns out, one of my favorite country music duos, Shannon Haley and Ryan Michaels of Haley and Michaels, are California natives, growing up in the Bay Area (though they didn't meet until they were both performing in their own solo bands in Nashville). Newlyweds themselves, we sat down with the award-winning artists to get the scoop of their favorite hotspots in and around their hometown of San Francisco.

WHERE TO EAT
Greens: This vegetarian institution has been applauded by multiple publications for their organic cuisines that taste as if they were just plucked from the garden. “Spectacular views and amazing healthy food, they add.
AsiaSF: “When you're feeling adventurous,” says the pair of AsiaSF which is one part restaurant, one part entertainment. Their world-famous transgender stars — aptly known as the Ladies of AsiaSF – perform hourly atop the Chinese Red runway bar as guests dine on Cal-Asian cuisine.
Vino Locale: This European-style wine bar and bistro specializes in local fare. “Quaint, family owned and has the best wine-and-cheese pairing.”
DATE SPOTS
Shadowbrook: “Romantic and unforgettable ride through the trees to get down to your table,” says Shannon of the cable car experience that brings guests to and from the restaurant. Make time to stroll through the grounds before dinner!
Grandview: “Incredible view and amazing food!”
1st & Main Sports Bar: “Our favorite place to watch all things sports,” suggests Ryan, for the couple who has to catch the big game during their honeymoon!
AT&T Park: No trip to San Francisco is complete without a trip to Giants' stadium. Whether it's to catch a game or go on an off-season tour, it's certainly “Disneyland for baseball.”
NOT-TO-MISS MUSIC LOCALES
The Mountain Winery:”Best place for an intimate concert with a glass of wine — also our wedding venue!”
The Rodeo Club: “Number one place for country concerts — it's hosted by 95.3 KRTY.”
Shoreline Amphitheater: “See the biggest acts for all genres — it's where we saw our first concerts as kids.”
The Fillmore: “Historic venue, make sure to visit the Poster Room!”
