For a whole year, Michael kept a secret from the love of his life Leslie. With the help of Leslie's aunt, Victoria Parker Photography, he planned a dreamy surprise engagement at Solana Beach, California.
With a hazy sky setting the scene, the couple headed to the beach for what Leslie thought was just a photo shoot for her aunt. Dressing in more formal apparel, Michael wore a navy blue suit with his soon-to-be fianceé in a soft pink gown that flowed as effortless as the waves crashing beside them.
As they were mimicking a pose of surprise and running towards one another, Michael stopped Leslie in her tracks as he dropped to one knee with a sparkling princess cut diamond with a vintage flair.
With the answer being, yes, the two celebrated and embraced the romantic moment — kicking off the beginning of their next chapter at the very spot where their first kiss was shared.
