Boho Industrial Inspo at New York's Trendy Rockaway Hotel

Marrying a boho vibe with an industrial style venue in Rockaway Beach, New York this styled shoot is giving us the blending of styles that we never knew we needed. It’s described as “Where boho desert meets city by the sea, brought to you by an all-boss babe vendor team! I recruited all local, women-owned businesses for this shoot, including our real-life LGBTQ couple Laura and Jess, who not only were the models in the shoot but Laura also supplied the jewelry from her business Humble & Spark,” says Jordan Matlock, planner and owner of Jordan Michelle Events.

A neutral palette of warm tones came alive through the details. Including a gorgeous tablescape, an earthy lounge area, a vintage Volkswagen photo booth, and flourishing blooms that are too pretty not to stare. And while we love every feature, a favorite detail of ours has to be the written expressions of real-life couple Laura and Jess that became a beautiful wooden triangular sign for the reception.

In keeping with the shape, a triangular arch acted as a backdrop against the water views for the ceremony set up; the only thing making it better was having Laura and Jess embrace one another amongst the aesthetic. Upon having photos with the sea, modern city shots were also weaved into the editorial; showcasing how the venue really allowed for the best of both worlds.
