Inspired by the marriage equality ruling last summer, Cheryl-Anne Kast from Kast Events in North Carolina wanted to create a styled shoot with a natural laidback vibe starring real-life engaged couple Chad and Al. “What an incredible year 2015 has been for equality and love!” she exclaims. “I left totally inspired and excited to be apart of such an amazing milestone in U.S. history.” She teamed up with Bowerbird Flowers and Krystal Kast Photographers to set the scene with Sugar Euphoria providing the dusted naked cake, stationery from Ply and decor from Southern Vintage Table.
A wooden farm table was topped with lush greenery and touches of gold and paired with ghost chairs, allowing it to feel both cozy and modern and creating the “natural” aesthetic that we’re starting to see rise in popularity amongst couples.
Ideas We Love
- Trendy Details: There are so many details in this feature that I’m seeing to be wedding trends for 2016: bare tables, lush ivy and greenery for florals and dusted naked cakes.
- Perfect Pair: I love the pairing of ghost chairs with a wooden farm table — it’s an unexpected match that works beautifully.
- Mini Wreaths: They continued the greenery theme into the personals with tiny wreath boutonnieres — obsessed!
