The creative driving force behind Unbound Ceremonies is Minister Riley Phoebus, a seasoned lifecycle celebrant and alternative ritual pioneer. Guided by a philosophy rooted in personal autonomy, artistic transformation, and intentionality, Riley has spent years breaking the molds of traditional milestone curation. Since entering ministry, Riley has had the distinct honor of officiating more than 250 weddings and standalone rituals globally, working intimately with a diverse spectrum of secular couples, queer relationships, and non-traditional individuals.
Riley’s work is deeply defined by bringing bold, dark, and evocative aesthetics out of the conceptual realm and into the physical world. Notably, in 2023, Riley conceptualized and curated the very first iteration of The Satanic Temple’s Little Black Chapel installation in Boston, Massachusetts – a project that garnered international acclaim and was featured by Reuters, the BBC, and the Boston Globe.
