March 20th is National Proposal Day aka, one of our favorite days of the year, and we're doubling down on the content today with multiple proposal stories! Is it just me, but are proposal photos just THE BEST — there's nothing quite like those reaction shots.
Jason and Aviya had been together for 11 years (wow!) when Jason dropped to one knee during a romantic walk on the beach. “It was a complete surprise. Jason said his family was having a get together at their beach house and we were going to meet them down there. He said we should walk down the beach and come through their back door but while we stopped to look out at the ocean, he got down on his knee and I WAS SO SHOCKED!” Aviya exclaims. Smirnova Photography captured the entire session, as well as the fun surprise engagement party immediately after. “We go back to the house to get ready for the get together at his parent's house and then when we get there, my family is there too! They had everything decorated and it was such a special moment.”
