Tyler and Nicholas traveled to Bariloche, Argentina for a beautiful Patagonia elopement.

Tyler and Nicholas’s love story began in the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic. While the world grappled with unprecedented challenges, they found each other and forged a connection marked by reflection, adventure, and a desire for deep, meaningful connections.

“I fell in love with Nick when we started talking about the future, and I saw how naturally he fit into what I pictured my future to be. Happily married. Adopted kids. Being the couple that everyone aspires to be. He was patient and generous and made me feel safe,” says Tyler. “We went on adventures together, cooked together, watched movies together, and it just felt easy — even during the moments that it wasn't.”

Their shared passion for travel, exploration, and the great outdoors meant their wedding was destined to be anything but traditional. They chose Bariloche, Argentina—a place neither had ever visited—to celebrate their union, a testament to their adventurous spirits and their commitment to experiencing life to its fullest. “We wanted someplace that felt untouched yet familiar—big and vast and small at the same time — and we love that it has a great mix of mountains, lakes, waterfalls, and lush greenery.”

Bariloche, nestled at the foothills of the Andes in the Argentine Lake District in Patagonia, is a haven of natural beauty. Its vast forests, pristine blue lakes, and snow-capped mountains provided a stunning backdrop for Tyler and Nicholas's intimate elopement. Marrying in Argentina, the first country in South America to legalize same-sex unions, added a layer of historical significance to their special day.

Their wedding day began at the elegant Cacique Inacayal Lake & Spa Hotel where the grooms got ready together. each in handsome Indochino suits. After picnicking on the dock, their journey continued with a dreamy boat ride to a secluded island where they found themselves on a sandy shore surrounded by towering trees and the striking peaks of the Andes. The ceremony was intimate and deeply personal. With teary eyes and jubilant smiles, Tyler and Nicholas exchanged their vows and rings, their words carrying across the stillness of the lake. They adorned each other with Stefanas (Greek wedding crowns), symbolizing the beginning of their new union.

They celebrated afterwards at Café Patagoniam a cozy cabin-like restaurant inside the Lla Lla resort. “Through the windows, we took in the beautiful view of the peaks of the López and Tronador hills and the Moreno and Nahuel Huapi lakes,” reflects the newlyweds. The perfect ending to a perfect day.
